    Dr. Roberta Sloan is a director, actress, teacher and administrator. She received her BA from Northwestern University in Drama Education and her M.A. and Ph.D. from The University of Michigan, in Theatre. She has taught and served in administrative positions at University of Oklahoma, University of Central Oklahoma, Marymount University, University of Central Florida, Temple University and Sam Houston State University.

    Roberta has directed and acted in over 200 theatre productions, as well as being featured in a number of short films, commercials and music videos.  Her most recent theatrical performance was in an original one-woman show, about the life of Deborah Franklin (Ben’s wife), performed at professional venues in Philadelphia.

    As former professor and chair of the Temple University Theater Department, she was Executive Producer of all of the Temple Theaters Productions, including IN CONFLICT which received an Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award and ran for two months OFF BROADWAY in New York City, and SHOT!, a full-length original production selected to be performed at the Kenney Center in Washington, D.C. She served as Chair of the Nominating Committee for the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST), was one of five faculty selected to revise the University Resident Theatre Association Membership Guidelines, was co-chair of Region II of the National Association of Partners of Theatre, and served as a NAST accreditation evaluator. She is a recipient of a Kennedy Center Bronze Medallion for service to the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival. Founding a Jewish Theatre has been a dream of Roberta’s for a long time, and she is pleased to be able to fulfill that goal in the place she considers her home: Oklahoma.

    Oklahoma City native Tristan Catherine O’Hara is an artist, administrator, and storyteller. She graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a BA in Indigenous Literature, where she studied traditional Native storytelling, Chahta (Choctaw) cultural preservation, and language revitalization. Through her work with Jewish Theatre of Oklahoma, Tristan is honored to help foster a more compassionate and culturally informed world through the arts.

    When she is not gardening, performing, or keeping up with her two daughters, Tristan helps orchestrate many of the behind-the-scenes operations at JTO. Her work spans box office management, grant writing, marketing, graphic design, and audience engagement, making her an integral part of the organization’s day-to-day and long-term growth.

    Community theatre has been a pillar of Tristan’s life since childhood. She has performed with organizations including Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Jewel Box Theatre, Carpenter Square Theatre, and Jewish Theatre of Oklahoma. Her passion for cultural awareness, storytelling, and arts administration comes together through her work at JTO.

    Rodney Brazil is an OKC-based director, actor, and playwright. His recent directing credits include Bris Amiss! for Jewish Theatre of Oklahoma and multiple productions of the holiday comedy Alcoholidays over the past decade. As a performer, he has appeared in Meaningless with Jewish Theatre of Oklahoma, in addition to numerous roles on Oklahoma stages. Rodney’s original play Thank You, Places premiered in Indianapolis in 2023 and made its Oklahoma debut as part of the Theatre Crude Fringe Festival in 2025. His new show, Presley Tweed: Fancy AF was a part of the New York City Fringe Festival in April.
